Required Skills:

* 1+ years Ruby on Rails development experience
* 2-3 years of Object Oriented programming experience (PHP preferred)
* Extensive experience with complex SQL queries and database performance issues
* UI skills including in depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, Ajax
* Experience with Source Control: Git/SVN
* Ability to manage projects from start to completion including concept, development and delivery to internal and external clients

Responsibility Overview:

* Writes well-factored, extensible, elegant Ruby on Rails code with a test-driven approach
* Understands existing code and framework and best coding practices
* Works collaboratively as part of the development team with product managers, software engineers and architects, in an agile environment
* Continually keeps up to date with best practices and newest developments in the Rails world by learning from web resources and from other team members
* Interface with clients through entire process
* Work alongside management to develop project quotes, timelines, and project scope
