docTrackr is a rapidly growing start-up which offers a web service that enables businesses or other integrators to control remotely their digital documents.
We are currently working between Bucharest and Paris in a multi-cultural environment with clients across France and seeking to extend to other markets.

Context

We are looking for a talented and experienced web developer ideally with a history of commercial web application design and development. The successful candidate must have a working knowledge of software design patterns, a full understanding of web and system security issues and designing for best application performance.
Most of all, you should enjoy learning new things to solve interesting problems. And when there is no solution? Then you'll invent one.

Responsibilities include:

- design and develop our platform - backend and frontend, using Ruby On Rails
- contribute with ideas on overall system architecture, implementation and testing
- keeping fully abreast of latest thinking in all areas of web development and use the best practices in Ruby on Rails development

Requirements

Four-year college diploma or university degree in software engineering or computer science or equivalent
Write clean, well-engineered code in Ruby on Rails
Knowledge of API and component design for reusability and sharing
Excellent operational knowledge on Unix (Linux) Systems
Ability to strive in a fast paced, ever changing environment
Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Nice to have

Great skills in database design
Good Knowledge of HTTP, CSS and JavaScript
First experience in leading a software project and people
Knowledge on working with big cloud service providers (PaaS)
