Responsibilities:
- Developing, implementing and maintaining information systems
- Processes and concepts, testing and installing information management systems (hardware/software)
- Diagnosing and resolving demanding technical problems
- Act as a source of technical expertise to others in his/her area

Qualifications:
- Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
- Must be able to work as part of a virtual team, as most of the team members are located in other locations.
- Customer Service attitude is a must, as this position will work very closely with product development projects.
- Good communication skills in English are critical (written and oral).
- Strong, creative problem solving and analytical in nature.
- Results oriented aggressiveness in meeting commitments.
- Self motivated, energetic and tenacious.
- Flexible and responsive to changing situations.
- Handle pressure-filled situations in a professional manner.

Required:
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience of IP routing and L2 switching concepts (virtual lans, static and dynamic routing, spanning tree, …)
- Have administrated Windows and Linux servers
- Solid understanding of various protocols such as DNS, NIS, NFS and VPN
- Good knowledge of SAN and NAS storage concepts and technologies
- Knowledge of x86 hardware and Cisco firewalls
- Have at least one of the following certifications: Cisco (CCNA), RedHat (RHCE) or Microsoft (MCSA or MCSE).
- 3+ years experience of managing enterprise network and server environments
- Strong scripting skills such as perl, php, bash, PowerShell.
- Familiar with network management tool (Nagios, Cacti, PRTG), communication tool (blogs, Wikis) and ticket systems (Remedy).

Beneficial competences and experience:
- Knowledge of Java development environments and XML markup language
- Experience with Exchange 2003/2007 servers in multi-site environment
- Experience with desktop and server virtualization (VMware ESX servers)
- Knowledge of MS SQL and MySQL servers
- Knowledge of Windows Active Directory (multi-domain, multi-site implementations)
