Adulmec.ro is an online media company focused on local commerce. Through Adulmec.ro, Urbo.ro and DealFever.ro, and their mobile apps, we connect local business and consumers in exciting new ways. We are a young, dynamic, hard-working team that is quickly expanding. We are headquartered in the historic center of Bucharest and are currently recruiting talented, motivated individuals who want to join the exciting, fast-paced growth of social commerce.

We are looking for an enthusiastic junior programmer to join our existing tech team. Initially you will be primarily responsible for writing parsers to collect data for our deal aggregator in both Romania and other countries. Once that project is concluded, you have the opportunity to grow into a more senior role in the company in either front-end, back-end or mobile - or all of them - depending on your interest and skills.

Responsibilities:

- In conjunction with a senior programmer, write parsers (in Python) to aggregate daily deal data from many Eastern European countries. Your final work will be reflected within minutes on www.adulmec.ro and other similar international sites.

- You are expected to properly document and test your work before review by a senior programmer.

Requirements:

- Interest in automated data collection

- Good knowledge of a programming language (like PHP, Ruby or Python).

- Basic familiarity with Web site design and some software development processes.

- Genuine willingness to learn, grow and work in a young and dynamic team.

Beneficial skills:
-------------------
- Knowledge in Python is desirable but not required; a strong desire to learn is necessary though.

- Some experience with XML and SQL.

- Experience with regular expressions and REST architectures would be beneficial.
