About qooxdoo...
qooxdoo (pronounced [’ku:ksdu:]) is a comprehensive and innovative framework for creating rich internet applications (RIAs). Leveraging object-oriented JavaScriptbuild impressive cross-browser applications. No HTML, CSS nor DOM knowledge is needed. It includes a platform-independent development tool chain, a state-of-the-art GUI toolkit and an
advanced client-server communication layer. It is open source under an LGPL/EPL dual license. 1&1 initiated the development of a ground-breaking new JavaScript framework, which was registered as the OSS project “qooxdoo” at SourceForge in 01/2005, a month before the term“AJAX” was even coined. 1&1 employs a dedicated team of framework developers, who are able to concentrate full-time on improving this enterprise-level AJAX framework with the great support of an enthusiastic community and many contributors and committers all over the world.

If you have...
… experience with JavaScript (minimum 2 years);
… experience with modern web application development (client and/or server-side);
… experience with other JavaScript libraries like Dojo, ExtJS, jQuery, etc.
… experience with AJAX and async. client-server communication via HTTP(S) and JSON;
… experience with the DOM and how to manipulate it;
… experience with web technologies like CSS, HTML, XHTML, XML;
… experience in most major web browsers, IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Chrome;
… good ability to understand, write and speak English;
… experience and desire to contribute to a well-known open source project .
Would be a plus...
… experience with qooxdoo;
… experience with native GUI toolkits like Swing, AWT, SWT, Qt;
… experience with GWT, Flex or other web application frameworks;
… experience with Python or other scripting languages, e.g. ActionScript/Flash;
… experience with Java, PHP or similar server-side languages;
… experience with RPC or REST;
… experience in alternative, browser-based runtimes like Adobe AIR, Titanium, PhoneGap;
… experience in HTML5 and mobile application development;
… experience with unit testing (JsUnit), GUI testing (Selenium), dev tools (Jslint, etc.);
… experience as an active member of other open source projects;
… 2-4 years of previous work experience;
… experience with tools like SVN, Git, Bugzilla, Ant, Maven
… German language skills.
