About the position:
As a member of our Java development team, you will have the opportunity to use your skills in software engineering to contribute to future releases of Embarcadero products. You will be involved in all aspects of the Agile software development process, including: participation in requirements discussions, design, development, defect fixing, performance tuning. This position requires extensive collaboration with other teams within Embarcadero, and has the potential to impact a large cross-section of products. As you gain experience and demonstrate skills, you will be given the opportunity to broaden the scope of your role.

Skills and Experience Required:
• University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
• Good algorithms and problem solving abilities
• Knowledge of design patterns, object oriented programming, object oriented design
• Project experience in Java programming - at least 1 year
• Project experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Sybase ASA/ASE, InterBase/FireBird is a plus
• Project experience with test-driven development is a plus
• Experience with features introduced in Java 1.5 or later is a plus
• The will to learn and constantly improve
• Team player
• Passionate about software development
• Good communication skills in English is a must
