One of the projects you will be involved in is for a well-known telecommunication solutions & services provider and inside the dedicated team for this project you will work closely with other 3 Senior Java Developers.
As Software Architect you will have an important role in the end to end software development life cycle for Java solutions. In order to define the customer’s solution, 3 key-words will guide your activities: analysis, design and management. Your main responsibilities will be:
- Good understanding, thorough analysis and good technical translation of the client functional requirements;
- Estimating the needed resources in close collaboration with the Project Manager, after carefully analyzing the customer requirements;
- Writing the documentation for the client business processes and requirements;
- Able to suggest high quality solutions and to lead the development team in the delivery process;
- Ensuring development standards and processes are being followed;
- Participate in meetings with customers/project team on solution issues;
- If needed, evaluate other providers that can contribute to the delivery of a proper solution;
- Participate with solution suggestions in the support phase;
- Secure the functionality and technical quality of deliveries in customer projects, including in situations of change requests;
- Acting as an adviser and mentor for other less experienced team members if necessary;
- Follow configuration and release management processes.
Requirements:
- Around 6 to 8 years of experience in Java in software architecture;
- Hands on experience in Configuration Management, Source Control, Release Management ;
- Languages: Java (mandatory, Architect level certification preferred), C++, Perl, awk, sed, XML;
- Technologies/Frameworks: CORBA, RMI, STRUTS 2, XML-RPC, SOAP, Oracle BPEL;
- Web Development: JSP, Servlet, Java Script, HTML, J2EE (EJB 3.0, JTA, Hibernate/JPA, WebServices, JMS, JBI, Spring);
- Environments: Eclipse, Maven, ANT, SVN, CruiseControl;
- Application server: Jboss, Apache;
- Databases: Oracle, MySQL;
- Operating Systems: Solaris, HP-UX, Linux, Windows;
- Knowledge in: Seam, Rich Faces / JSF and Jasper Reports;
- Previous experience with BPMS (Ultimus, ActiveOS) and Business Objects
- Performance Tuning & Optimization;
- SOA & Middleware Technologies;
- Knowledge of Application Life Cycle Management & related tool like TeamForge, IBM Jazz, etc is a plus;
- English – advanced level.
