For EMERSON's Corporate Division in the Cluj Manufacturing Campus we are looking for an experienced and driven IT SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Excellent oral and written English language skills
- Experience with personal computer hardware and Microsoft Windows operating system software
- Experience with server hardware and Microsoft Server 2003 operating system
- Experience with a variety of Microsoft desktop software products – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, etc.
- Experience with email in a Microsoft Outlook/Exchange environment
- Familiarity with antivirus software
- Familiarity with IP-Based communications at the WAN and LAN levels using DHCP, DNS.
- Familiarity with UTP structured cabling and wireless networking devices
- Excellent troubleshooting skills or help desk experience
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting network attached printers
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide day-to-day 1st and 2nd level support (software installation, technical support for PCs, laptops, servers, printers and other IT equipment, networking and security ) for all Information Technology (IP telephony included) hardware, software and network infrastructure utilized at the Cluj Shared Resource Facility
- Maintenance and monitoring of the IT network; proposing solutions for maintaining and improving availability and performance
- Administration and maintenance for the servers within the facility (Domain Controllers, File Servers, Application Servers, Back-up Servers)
- Collaborate with Division IT teams for supporting division’s client applications and operation
- Resolve problems quickly and efficiently, escalating problems should you be unable to resolve the problem yourself in a timely manner.
- Communicate problem status to local management and ITSS on a timely basis
- Maintain technical skills for all IT hardware and software deployed at the Cluj facility by pursuing additional education and training
- Maintain contacts with local vendor maintenance resources
- IT inventory control
