Wixi Inc. is searching for a one or more talented web developers. The basic responsibilities of the job consist of adding new features to existing websites programmed in PHP + Smarty templates.
Requirements:
• 3 years experience developing Web applications
• Expert in PHP5 and MySQL
• Strong experience in xHTML, CSS, Ajax, DOM, Javascript
• Experience in database design, SQL and object relational mapping.
• Strong understanding of server side software, security, scalability, performance and reliability on a website with high volume traffic
• Experience in dealing with cross-browser issues (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera)
• Working knowledge of entire product lifecycle from scoping to maintenance
• Good writing and communication skills
Considered as a plus:
• Good knowledge of XML and RSS is a plus
• Knowledge of Web APIs (REST, JSON, XMLRPC...) and data interchange is a plus
• Working knowledge of LAMP server administration and hosting solutions is desired but not required
• You love software. You love programming. You love designing algorithms.
• You spend a lot of time online and stay up-to-date on new, fun things out there for developers as well as regular people.
• Enjoy making a lot of users happy.
