Opportunity Profile: Channel Business Developer - Software

We are looking for a business development representative to join our growing Partner & Alliances team. Your primary responsibility will be to recruit new channel and technology (alliances) partners in line with Clarity’s go to market model, i.e. ISVs, Resellers, Consulting Firms etc. The ideal person for this role gets their sales energy off of the “hunt” for the new opportunity. You must be a hungry and passionate new business hunter to get on phone with potential partners and articulate Clarity’s value proposition. The ideal representative will be commercially minded, competent in the software industry, and a strong communicator. The ideal person should also be accustomed to high levels of sales calls using the phone in order to set appointments, research the market and recruit new partners. This is a great opportunity, with potential advancement within the organization. Aggressive and successful individuals will be rewarded financially and will gain the business experience and knowledge needed for career advancement


Deliverables:

Identify and qualify specific partner opportunities in conjunction with the Partner & Alliances team.
Conduct cold calls to articulate Clarity’s product portfolio and strategy and ensure that it is well understood by partner prospects
Achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly pipeline and forecast goals and defined objectives
Due diligence of target companies
Pipeline Development
Identify key decision makers within target organizations
Build and maintain a solid relationship with prospects
Manage the escalation and resolution of issues with appropriate management
Develops and cultivates relationships with key partners
Qualifications:

Experienced in software sales
Strong business and communication relationships with C & V Level Execs.
Strategy and deal making experience is essential
Considerable experience in conducting sales cold calls in the software or related industry
Ability to work under pressure of a quota and to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment
Ability to build vision and objectives meaningful to both parties
Excellent communication skills – written and oral, phone and e-mail
Strong organizational skills
Self-starter with a drive to exceed stated objectives
Must be a strong team player
Proven track record of exceeding quotas and sales metrics
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Knowledge of Salesforce.com is an asset
A financial background is an asset
Post secondary education or equivalent
Proficient in English/German/French or Italian
